The owners made us feel like family, with little treats and such warm kindness. It’s a lovely spot to unwind, close to most attractions, and the price is fair. I slept really well, and it has a great feel for a family get-together or a small group. Mr. Hai is especially lovely. The homestay felt comfortable and restful, though hearing the train go by gave it a distinct atmosphere. The rooms are a little dated and the toilets worn, but fine for the cost. Take care with the direct hot water heater and keep the setting below 4. Bungalow rooms get colder at night, so if you’re not used to the cold and traveling alone, a downstairs room with the door shut should help keep you warm. There’s a small Koi pond and plenty of trees around Ngoc Dong Phuong Villa on Hung Vuong Street, which gives it a peaceful feel. The rooms are roomy and well equipped, with big beds that feel fit for a palace.

I’ve booked at Ngoc Dong Phuong a few times because I like how quiet it is. The owners are kind and easygoing, and the service feels pleasant, almost like being at home. On my last booking, I had reserved two nights through the app but needed to leave unexpectedly. They charged me for just one night and returned the rest, taking out only the app fee.

Everything was clean and the rates were fair. The owners were friendly, and the place was quiet with just the right amenities.
