Saigon's Book Hotel Da Lat

Everything was good, with a nice room, good facilities, and Wi-Fi available.

The room had what I needed, including a comfortable western style bed, an electric kettle, refrigerator, desk, and a large window with a nice view. It was a deluxe single room at a reasonable price, and the place felt like luxury on a budget. There’s an elevator, and the staff were very helpful. The cleaning lady was lovely and especially helpful. The hotel is a little off the beaten path, but the location worked really well for me. The lake is a short walk away, and I walked around it several times. The big market and lots of places to eat are on the other side of the lake. Beautiful flower gardens are closer, and the road to Lang Biang Mountain is nearby. The room and bathroom were well maintained, but the bathroom is super tiny. For a shower, you have to stand in a very small space between the toilet and sink, and everything gets wet. There was no bedside lamp. Still, I’ll definitely choose this hotel again.

We loved how peaceful the hotel felt, tucked away enough to avoid the city noise but still close to the lake and flower garden. It’s a great base for exploring Dalat. The staff were very kind and helpful, and we managed to speak some English with a few of them. Our suite was enormous, and the bed was the biggest we’d ever slept in, about 4x3m. It was very comfortable, with clean, modern decor. The bathroom was great too, with a big shower and two shower heads, plus a bath and plenty of hot water. Highly recommend! ❤❤

The quiet neighborhood is convenient for getting around by scooter, and the hotel isn't too far from tourist spots. But the reception experience was awful. At check-in they said they'd call when the room was ready, then left me waiting for two hours without a word, even though they could see me in the waiting area. When I asked, they simply handed over the room and didn't apologize. At checkout I had to keep asking for my ID back. The staff seemed very irresponsible, and I would've rated the stay higher without that experience. The room was dated and small, around 15 to 22 square meters. The bathroom drain was so slow that shower water covered the floor, and the soundproofing was terrible, with kids yelling and running audible outside. The door lock kept beeping and wouldn't close properly, so I had to wrestle with it every time I went in or out. The facilities need replacing. As of February 2023, the stay was just OK.
