The Gate Boutique Hotel Da Lat

The reception team really went out of their way for us. Since the road to the hotel was blocked by construction and taxis couldn’t get through, staff came down to the main street on two motorbikes to pick us up each time, at no charge. They also arranged birthday decorations for the room and coordinated with my husband. The room was spacious, with a great view, and breakfast had plenty of variety. They even made a separate scrambled egg for my child. There was no fridge in our room, but they let us keep food in the shared one at reception. The staff were lovely and spoke English. We were very happy with our stay and recommend it.

We’ve stayed here before and still love the staff. They’re so friendly and helpful, and they helped us out many times during our stay. Really good service.

I picked this place for a change after staying in the city center before, and its quieter spot away from the center made for a peaceful stay. You can walk to Lam Vien Square, though the walk can feel a bit tiring. The rooms could use repainting and some renovation, but they were clean, especially the bathroom. I was also pleasantly surprised to get a mini buffet breakfast with my room, given the affordable nightly price. A nice choice in Da Lat if you want somewhere calm to unwind.

The receptionists and supervisors I spoke with had great English and were very hospitable. The room itself was nicely decorated, but small, noisy, and poorly insulated. I was in room 302, with an old water system and its tank right above it. After midnight it seemed to switch to automatic mode and made unpredictable noises, so sleeping was impossible. The staff were polite and seemed trained, but nothing was done about it. That room shouldn’t have been rented with a known noise problem affecting guests’ sleep. The next morning I was woken again by families and kids.
