The Kadupul Homecation

I extended my stay to a full week because I didn’t want to leave, and I could have stayed for months. As a solo traveler, Kadupul Homecation really did feel like a home away from home. I’ve been traveling in Vietnam for two months, and this was by far the most welcoming, beautiful, and well-run homestay I’ve had. It’s on a quiet street in one of the main parts of town, and the lush grounds are full of plants and flowers. There’s a cute café and cocktail bar on site with a huge outdoor area, and it was incredibly peaceful. Rocky and June are what make the place special. They’re kind, attentive, and genuine. When I arrived, Rocky sent a thoughtful, detailed message with places to eat and things to do. I used it as my bible for the week. None of it felt like generic tourist advice, and every recommendation was spot on. Rocky also runs a sunrise hike through Airbnb Experiences that you shouldn’t miss. It was unforgettable. My trip’s highlight, though, was his sunset hike and painting session, which isn’t on any guide sites yet. He created it himself as a different kind of experience. We hiked through the forest to a remote viewpoint, set up camp, painted, and watched the sunset. Rocky carried everything up the mountain himself, including camping gear, painting supplies, snacks, tea, and lights. I was impressed by how organized and thoughtfully planned it all was. June and Rocky’s mom made breakfast each morning, and it was SOOOOO good. Truly a 1000 out of 10 stay. I can’t wait to come back. Thanks so much, June and Rocky :)

June and her family were so kind and helpful. They even moved me into a bigger room with a lovely window view and balcony. It was cozy, very clean, and felt like home. June’s mom made a different breakfast every morning, with fresh fruit and drinks, and it was delicious. I tried some of June’s suggestions too, and they were all great, especially the bar. I really enjoyed my stay and hope to come back!

When my partner got sick, they made him ginger tea and rice porridge, cháo. That was such a caring thing to do. June also shared great suggestions for restaurants, massages, and activities, and every one we tried was perfect. Each evening she sat with us to plan the next day, so we didn’t have to research anything ourselves. Everyone at Kadupul Homecation was incredibly kind, and we felt like we were staying with family. We had an amazing time and will definitely come back. Thank you for making us feel so at home.

We somehow forgot to book, but it was sorted out right away. June helped us arrange things several times, and she was a fantastic host. The apartments are designed so you can sleep wonderfully with fresh air, and it’s a short distance from the city center while still being quiet. I would’ve loved to take the bed home. What a wonderful place to stay. We’d love to come back.
