This was my second stay at the TTR hotel, which is within walking distance of the city centre. I slept well in a quiet room, with a comfortable bed and lovely views from the spacious bedroom. The receptionists and cleaning staff were all very friendly and helpful. The lobby's huge chandelier's give the hotel a quirky look. My one complaint is that the massage lady wore rubber gloves while giving the massage, for some strange reason.

I booked through Agoda because of the photos, but the room looked nothing like them. The pictures online make the rooms seem much newer and nicer than they are. The service was okay, though the receptionist with glasses came across as unfriendly and didn't smile or welcome us. A smile would help guests feel welcome. I hope the service is better next time.

We were in the room for under two minutes, didn't use the bed or unpack, then went downstairs to ask for a refund because of the hygiene and safety concerns. The receptionist refused and showed no concern. After a long, exhausting discussion with the manager, I got only half my money back, which felt unfair given how briefly we were there. At check-in, no one helped with our luggage, and the man at reception wearing glasses was extremely unwelcoming and seemed to have no grasp of basic hospitality. He also said they wouldn't take my credit card because of the fees, so I had to pay cash. When we went up, the door and windows were wide open and bugs were flying in. The sheets were dirty and the room smelled unpleasant. I've rarely written a bad review, but this was one of my worst hotel experiences: poor hygiene, unprofessional staff, no customer service, and no accountability. I don't understand how this place is still operating.

We paid for the king suite (presidential room), one of the hotel's most expensive rooms, but it was horribly disappointing. Nails sticking out of the bed cut my partner, the light switches were coming off the wall, and live wires were exposed in the ceiling. Cockroaches came through the unfinished ceiling. We shut the bathroom door to keep them in, but the lock jammed and we couldn't use the bathroom all night. We had to go down to the lobby, and staff had to rip off the lock to get in. There was screaming through the night and no reception staff available to help, so we barely slept. The rooms smelled of mold and were unbelievably dirty. After a long discussion and a call to the manager, they offered us a different, cheaper room for the next night, but no compensation or partial refund for paying for the expensive room and getting a cheaper one. Absolutely appalling.

The hotel has a lovely design, but it's in poor condition. We got an underground room with no window, even though the pictures show rooms on higher floors with large windows. They should say clearly that a room has no window so guests know what they're choosing. The bathroom was gross and beyond dirty, and the sheets looked nice but were dirty. I'm not sure they'd even been changed after the previous guest. The towels smelled strongly of mold and damp, and the walls were dirty and needed washing or paint. I don't know what the cleaning staff do, but it isn't cleaning. Owners should check and supervise the degraded rooms. I don't recommend staying here, and I wouldn't return even if it were cheap.
