The people here made the stay for us. Thang was especially kind, always ready to help, and went out of his way for us. He ran after us down the alley with an umbrella when it started raining, brought fresh towels up the stairs after we took the elevator, helped arrange a bus to our next stop, and sent us off with fruit. We feel lucky to have met him. The other employees were friendly too. Our room was clean and roomy, with a comfortable bed and a hot shower, and the price felt fair. The motorbike we rented was in excellent condition, probably the best one we had in all of Southeast Asia. We were so comfortable at the Minh Quan that we extended our stay in Dalat. This was a highlight of our Vietnam trip, and the hotels we stayed at afterward didn't measure up.

The hotel is about 7-8 minutes on foot from the lake, and the location worked well for us. The owner was very helpful, and the rooms were nice and clean.

It's tucked into a small alley, which is the one thing to keep in mind. Otherwise it was convenient for walking to the center and market. The room was inexpensive, the bed soft and comfortable, and there was an elevator. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and could suggest good places to eat.

The room and price were both great, and it's near the main lake and close to everything. It felt like five-star quality at a one-star price. I'd recommend it just for the cost.
