Anh Nhung Guesthouse

We felt welcomed into Anh and Nhung's home and family. They invited us to their dining table and to spend an evening with their friends. On New Year's Eve, Anh showed us local places and businesses, then took the three of us into town on his scooter for an unforgettable evening. The guest house is only a few minutes from Hoi An town by scooter, which we found refreshing. We didn't have much shared language, but the warmth, honesty and laughter came through anyway.

The host was so welcoming, always greeting us with a big smile. The room was very comfortable and clean, and the free bike rentals made it quick to get into the main town. Great place, and I'd stay again next time I'm in HoiAn.

For just 10 USD a night, we got a really comfortable stay and would highly recommend this guest house to anyone visiting Hoi An. The family managing it were super nice, and breakfast was free and pretty good. The room, bed and bathroom were all really big and clean. We also had huge windows and our own balcony overlooking the peaceful trees and quiet neighbourhood.

We ended up staying an extra night and enjoyed that one too. The family were lovely. We arrived early in the morning, and one of the daughters let us check in straight away so we could leave our things before heading into the city. When we got back late, the father and mother introduced themselves and gave us a warm welcome, even though they didn't speak much English. The shared toilet was very clean, and the room was comfortable. In the morning they made us a traditional Vietnamese breakfast and gave us coffee and water. Their laundry service left our clothes very clean and smelling lovely. We were short on time, otherwise we'd have loved to stay longer and share a beer or two with dad. I imagine we'd have learned a lot of Vietnamese that way. They also have safe parking, motorbikes and bicycles to rent, and WiFi.
