Azure Hotel Da Nang - Beach

The breakfast buffet was good and seemed to focus on local dishes. Nothing was labeled, so it could be hard to tell what things were, but the staff were very friendly and helpful. It might not suit picky eaters or anyone expecting a Western-style breakfast. The location was fairly close to the beach, though in hindsight we would have preferred to stay somewhere else. Our room's AC switched on but didn't cool much. It wasn't hot and there was a fan, but even after maintenance installed a new unit, the AC still didn't work. The front desk staff apologized and offered us a different room. Since we were checking out the next day, we didn't want to move, so they brought us a second fan instead.

The terrace and pool shown on Booking.com couldn't be used 😖. I stayed one night on January 30th because everywhere else was full. We weren't especially keen on the breakfast style, but the fresh fruit and omelets were enough. What stood out most was how clean the hotel was 🤩. The sheets were bright white, the towels spotless and smelled wonderful. At this price, I've never stayed in a hotel in Asia this clean. Thank you.

The hotel was expensive for the area, and the only good thing was its location very close to the beach. We left after one night, though we'd paid for three. It was noisy all day, from 5am-11pm, with such thin walls that it felt like people were screaming in our room. The bed was rock hard and hurt my back. Staff weren't friendly and paid us little attention, and the breakfast was the worst we'd had in Vietnam. The room smelled damp and moldy, and the shower's mold smell was unbearable. Opening the window didn't help, since the alley outside, which was full of rubbish, smelled even worse. The toilet seat was partly broken.

The apartment-style room cost a lot, but the kitchen had no cups, plates, napkins, silverware, or other basics. The bathroom had no lotion or conditioner, and there was no toilet paper when we arrived. The refrigerator and counters were dirty, and though the bed was made, the gritty, sandy floor made it unclear whether the room had been cleaned. The smart TV had no channels or subscriptions. Staff spoke almost no English, so I couldn't explain anything without a translation app. Breakfast was nice, but the coffee was cold every day and the tea cups were tiny. Nearby hotels offer better amenities for a similar price. I'd try somewhere else.
