Bo Bo Homestay Hoi An

A lovely family runs this place, and the rooms are clean. It’s a few streets outside the Old Town, in a nice quiet area. I’ve seen reviews saying it’s loud, but that simply wasn’t true for us. We’ll definitely be back. The beds are really firm.

The staff were the loveliest and really made the stay better. The location is very good, and the rooms are perfectly clean and well looked after. There’s a kettle in the room, plus a hairdryer and body and hair towels. I’d definitely recommend it.

The air was a problem for me: nearby businesses burn things in furnaces, and the fumes seemed to get pulled into the air conditioning. Anyone with breathing issues should be careful. There’s no elevator, and the rooms are smaller than the photos suggest, with no soundproofing. Around Lunar New Year and other festivals, loud parties nearby can make it hard to sleep, despite some reviews calling the area quiet. Bo Bo Homestay is basic and sits at the edge of Hoi A's old town. The hot water worked well, but the Wi-Fi was poor and they didn’t take credit cards. I wouldn’t recommend it for older travelers or anyone with sleep or anxiety problems.

The family sorted out whatever I needed, including arranging a scooter rental and getting it delivered within minutes. I stayed four nights and found the room clean, comfortable, and perfectly serviceable. It’s on a quiet back street at the edge of the tourist area, which worked out really well.
