Calm House 4 Hoi An

We felt comfortable here and would definitely stay again. The hotel feels brand new and was very clean. It’s in a quiet area by the river, so the atmosphere is peaceful and relaxing, and surprisingly we weren’t bothered by mosquitoes. The owners were kind and ready to help. Our bus arrived at 6 AM, before the official 2 PM check-in, but our room was available and they kindly let us check in early after the long journey. We had a wonderful stay and really recommend this place.

We only meant to stay five nights, then added five more because we couldn’t bring ourselves to leave lovely Bui and his family. The bed and sheets were probably the most comfortable I’ve ever had. It’s peaceful by the river, but still easy to reach the lively center: about ten minutes by bicycle or a half-hour walk across the island, with a chance to see everyday Vietnamese life. You can also ride through the rice fields to the beach. Such a lovely spontaneous find, and the staff were so sweet and looked after us every day.

During our month in Vietnam, Calm house 4 was the part of the trip I wanted to hold on to. The hosts made it feel like home, and the other guests were lovely too. There’s a shared dining area where you can chat over meals if you feel like it. The room was private, quiet, clean, and practical. Free bicycles make it easy to explore Hoi An. The old town gets crowded at night, while mornings are much calmer, so you can pick what suits you. There’s lots to see beyond the old town as well. I really didn’t want to leave. Just book it.

Breakfast felt like it was prepared with real care, and the rooms fit their surroundings beautifully. The river view is stunning, too. The hosts are lovely and friendly. If you want a peaceful place in Hoi An where you can feel at home, this is it.
