Catinal Hotel

After a 28-hour airport ordeal with three connecting flights, I had to look for a different hotel at 7 pm. I arrived at this one for check-in after booking through booking.com weeks earlier, and was told they'd listed the wrong price and had no room available. They hadn't contacted me beforehand. Their only solution was to put me in a deluxe room for more money, with no other help. I was exhausted enough that I might have paid extra, but the room itself smelled like urine and was tiny. The location is good, but it was the worst experience ever. There are plenty of nicer places nearby for almost the same price. Don't book this hotel.

We arrived at midnight, paid for the room, and walked into cockroaches in the bathroom. The room was dirty, smelled damp, and had black mold in the fridge, which wasn't even switched on. The stairway and hall were filthy too. We stayed for 15 minutes while I found another hotel around the corner, which was fantastic. They only get one star because that's the minimum. This place is a horror show. Avoid it!

We found an ant in the room on our very first day, and the place feels like the dust hasn't been wiped away in a long time. The rooms are dirty, and this hotel isn't worth the money. The location is inconvenient because the only way to get to the beach is by taxi. After check-in, it's hard to leave because they don't refund your payment. Staying here could ruin your vacation. Think twice before booking and handing over your money!

The riverfront views were incredible, and the rooms felt roomy and comfortable. Renting a scooter for under $10 a day was a great extra. Really excellent hotel.
