Courtyard by Marriott Danang Han River

The room was much more spacious than I expected, and waking up to the river view was a treat. Staff were courteous and professional, and made me feel welcome and valued throughout my stay. Everything I needed was close by, from restaurants and shops to massage parlors and convenience stores. It's an ideal base for exploring without having to go far for the essentials. With the spacious room and warm hospitality, I'd definitely return.

I went three months traveling around Asia, between Thailand and Vietnam, without getting food poisoning. Then I ate tapas in the afternoon during the 6 to 9 pm buffet, and around midnight the same night, back home, I threw everything up. Two days later I still feel dizzy and strange. The Marriott and rooftop are beautiful, but I can't understand how food management could have this kind of problem, especially with fish in the tapas served on the ground floor in the lobby. It's ridiculous, and I never expected this from such a good, well-known brand as Marriott. Around 9 pm, as they were finishing and clearing the tables, I noticed a cart with the remaining tapas, including salmon, other fish, and shrimp. It looked organized, almost like it was being prepared for reuse the next day. I don't know if the food was leftovers or was going to be used again, but there was no refrigeration, no ice or cold storage. Especially with fish, you simply can't do that, because people will get sick immediately. Honestly, it's embarrassing.

The staff were exceptionally hospitable, from the bellman and front desk team to housekeeping. I was especially touched by the unexpected personal note and amenity from the front desk manager. My Deluxe King room was modern, beautifully designed, and thoughtfully equipped, so it was comfortable and convenient. The hotel is lovely and in a central area that's easy to walk around, with coffee shops, restaurants, and museums nearby. The rooftop bar had fantastic cocktails and beautiful views. This was a top-tier stay, and I'd absolutely return. Probably the best Courtyard I've experienced.

The empty slab and abandoned building with graffiti on the corner next to the hotel take away from its new look. Still, the location is great for walking to nearby eateries and the riverwalk. The staff were attentive, professional, and helpful. Our room was larger than expected, clean, modern, and functional, with thorough daily cleaning. Since it's a new place, it shouldn't have many issues. We had a great experience.
