The location is handy for the beach, food, and nearby shops, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I had two problems during my stay, but reception sorted both out quickly. The room was only partly clean. The bathroom needed more attention, with mold in the shower and dirty mirrors. The air conditioner filters need changing because they’re a breeding ground for mold. There were ants in both the bathroom and bedroom, and the rooms need spraying daily. I’d stay again for the location and price if you’re not too fussy about room standards. Dam Tien is an old hotel that needs renovation to reach a higher standard.

The smell was awful, and there was mold everywhere. The shower barely had any water pressure, and the bathroom doors were rotten. The booking said city view, but all we could see was a wall. Really disappointing.

I booked a superior king room but was given a standard twin instead. The room smelled, especially the wardrobe, and the bathroom was smelly and untidy too. There was no trash can or tissue in the room.

I liked having a large room to myself for the night. It was clean, the facilities were good, and there was even a balcony. The rooms were pretty decent. There was loud karaoke outside my window, though it stopped at 11pm. Staff weren’t great at English, and late check-in was confusing because of a fee of 50% of the total cost. Still, it was a good stay overall.

Room quality seems to depend on luck: some are bigger or better than others for the same price. Only four rooms have balconies and are good; the rest aren’t as nice, smell, and have no view from the window. I also didn’t like being charged 10k for each small serving of instant coffee. At other hotels, that’s usually free.
