A clean, comfortable hotel in a great spot, and all the staff were really friendly. I'd definitely stay again.

The room furniture was old and dirty, the Wi-Fi was poor, and the cleaning was awful. The cleaner didn't change the sheets and sometimes didn't clean for weeks. I messaged the owner repeatedly about it. He offered a discount for a future rental period, but when I chose to leave at the end of the first agreement, he demanded an extra 200k cleaning fee, saying it was in the agreement and that weekly cleaning had been at a “reasonable level.” Nobody could explain why I had to pay 200k when they hadn't kept to the agreement. The manager even tried to leave with my $500 deposit. I stayed in a room advertised as having a “sea view,” but there was nonstop construction right outside the window. They worked at night too, with loud work starting as early as 5 AM and ending at 11.30 PM. A light there stayed on 24/7. After I said I didn't want to extend my stay, the owner suddenly seemed to forget English. Three months should have been more than enough time to fix the cleaning problems. I don't recommend staying here.

The hosts were friendly and tried to help when I contacted them, and the view was beautiful. But staying here felt more like getting through the day than having a vacation. The construction next door kept going day and night, despite being told it stopped in the evening. Crane squeals woke me at 3 AM every night. Ants turned up on the bed, towels, and inside the closet. The air conditioner smelled bad and was moldy. The linens were supposed to be changed weekly but were only remade. There were hardly any kitchen utensils, no proper cookware, and the frying pan was damaged and unusable. Cooking was difficult, and the fridge barely kept things cold. The fridge broke during my stay. The hosts brought a small replacement for 24 hours, but it was full of ants and didn't work either. It failed to cool anything for the first 24 hours, so my food spoiled, and after that it still barely got cold. The location and sea view are lovely, but with the noise, bugs, and broken appliances, I can't recommend it for stays longer than a couple of days.

The agent told me when I moved in that rainy season was beginning and the construction noise would stop. It hasn't. The work is so loud that earplugs don't help, and I attached a video as proof. The room has poor sound insulation too, so I can hear neighbors and footsteps in the corridor. It seriously affects how comfortable it is to live here.
