The Village Homestay

The host gave us really helpful advice and recommendations. It’s a great base for seeing town, and our room was roomy, had a balcony with a lovely view, and felt like very good value.

The owners were incredibly kind and helpful. One of them booked our tickets for Memories of Hoi An and arranged transport at a very good price. We also enjoyed the delicious breakfasts, and the room was spacious with comfortable beds that made for a peaceful stay. It’s easy to walk to lots of attractions from here, and there are plenty of restaurants nearby. I’d also recommend a massage at the nearby Art Spa and a meal at Madam Lou restaurant. A lovely place to stay.

The people who run The Village made our six nights in Hoi An easy and memorable. The hospitality was outstanding, and they helped with activities, laundry, onward travel, and even getting our Kindle back from Nha Trang after we’d accidentally left it at our previous hotel. When we hired a scooter, the host found a secure place for it overnight, which put our minds at ease. We arrived exhausted from an overnight train, and the hosts went out of their way to get our room ready for an early check-in. The room was spotless and cleaned daily, with a separate ensuite bathroom that was just as clean, plus a minibar restocked every day. The beds were comfortable, and there was air conditioning and a wall fan. Breakfast was excellent: coffee, a home-cooked omelette or pancakes, warm fresh bread with butter and jam, fruit, and herbal tea. It’s a family-run homestay with accommodation that feels much more like a hotel. The family are professional and clearly take pride in the place. It’s one or two minutes on foot from the old town, close to everything but away from the noise and crowds. For the price, it’s the best value accommodation we’ve ever stayed in. We couldn’t fault it and would recommend it very highly. Thanks for making our stay so comfortable.

The location near the old quarter and market was great, and the price was affordable. Trang and her family made me feel welcome. My room was big and clean, breakfast was delicious, and I had a great stay. I’d highly recommend it.
