Gem Hoi An Villa

We’ll be back. Thank you for making our stay so lovely! The villas were spacious, fresh, and very clean, with beautiful rice field views and a peaceful feel. The family atmosphere made it nice to return after cycling to the beach or old town, and the pool area was great for relaxing. Staff were fantastic, and breakfast had lots to choose from, including delicious banana pancakes and omelets.

Breakfast by the pool, looking out over the rice fields, was a lovely way to start each day. The rooms are huge, the space is gorgeous, and the resort faces the fields. Free bicycles made the location work perfectly for us, with about a 15-minute ride to either the beach or old town. Superfit gym is almost directly across the street, and there are good vegetarian restaurants nearby, including Quán Chay Ấm, Rosie's and ROM. We stayed a few months ago when we first arrived in Hoi An and absolutely loved it. Definitely recommended.

The room was spacious and clean, the staff were amazing, and the value was great. What kept me from giving more stars was the broken railing on the stairs to the second floor. The wooden rail was rotten and should have been repaired months earlier. I mentioned it, and they did a quick fix with electrical wire, which was sad to see. It felt unsafe. If we’d come back late and leaned on the rail without noticing the damage, we could have fallen over. Guest safety should be every hotel’s number one concern.

The manager and staff were lovely and made us feel at home. For the price, the place was much better than we expected, and the pool was clean and refreshing after a day in the hot sun. Breakfast was made to order and delicious. It was about a 15-minute walk, or a 22000dong taxi ride, to the heart of Hoi An. An Bang Beach was around a 20-minute bike ride away, and bikes were free to use. This was easily the nicest room we’d stayed in during our three weeks in Thailand and Vietnam. I’d recommend it to anyone visiting Hoi An.
