Gia Lam Villa felt much more like staying in a home than in a standard hotel. The couple who run it were lovely and made us a tasty breakfast each morning, especially the banana pancakes, which are well worth ordering. Our room was very clean, the bathroom was modern, and the small balcony opened right onto the pool. We had a fantastic stay in Hoi An. Thanks, Gia Lam Villa!

The old town is about a 20-minute walk away, with plenty of shops and restaurants along the way. There are also free bikes, and the ride to the beach is easy. I really liked this hotel: the rooms were spacious and clean, the owners were kind, and I looked forward to banana pancakes and iced coffee every morning.

The family running this hotel were wonderfully friendly, and we had a really nice four-night stay. Our room was large, and breakfast had a great range of choices. There are restaurants and bars nearby, while the centre of Hoi An is a 15-20 minute walk away. The free bicycles were a lovely extra. A relaxed, family-run place I’d happily recommend.

We were sad to leave after six nights. We’d booked three at first, then added another three because we loved it so much. The family looked after us beautifully, making delicious breakfasts every day and even surprising us with a lovely dinner. They also arranged a scooter for us. Thanks so much for the hospitality, we’ll definitely stay with you again.

Getting from Da Nang airport late at night, around 23:00, was easy because they arranged a pickup and late check-in for us. The rooms were good, and the price was okay. The city center is quite far, about a 30-minute walk. Communication with the owner was difficult because she doesn’t speak much English, and several times we couldn’t find anyone to ask basic things like the wifi password or where breakfast was.
