The staff were really friendly and helpful, and the hostel is central with comfortable beds. Still, details were missed during our six-night stay. The bedding was supposed to be changed on day three, but it wasn't, and we got moldy bread at breakfast two mornings in a row. There were no meals or hot coffee available, and the advertised drink discounts weren't given. The massage we booked cost twice as much because of Tet, something that could have been made clear before we booked. The price was good, but staff seemed to sit around, and I never saw anyone cleaning. In our dorm bathroom, they only emptied the bin and swept the floor; it wasn't properly cleaned. There wasn't full attention to the details.

The price was good, the bed was comfortable, and the hostel is around four blocks from the beach. The free breakfast was odd, though. It was just a slice of toast with jam, which felt bland and boring. They'd be better off not advertising breakfast and letting you be pleasantly surprised by the toast.

The dorm curtains gave a decent amount of privacy, it was affordable, and the beach is close by. But cleanliness was a serious problem. Our toilet was clogged and full of feces, and they made us wait an hour and a half before it was cleaned. Even afterward, the bathroom floor still had stains and hair. It felt creepy and unhygienic to sometimes find staff, or maybe their friends, sleeping in beds prepared for incoming guests. Staff also missed small details. I was overcharged for coffee until I showed the menu price, and water wasn't kept cold in the fridge for when you wanted to buy it. Those little things were bothersome. There's no way to refill a bottle and no trash sorting, so it didn't feel eco-friendly. There wasn't much of a traveler atmosphere, and it was hard to meet people for a chat, let alone make friends. There seemed to be more Chinese businesspeople than backpackers.

The reception staff were helpful, and the place was nice and very clean. I'd ask for a second-floor room. The water pump for the house system sits on the third floor, and I found the noise a little annoying. Staff helped me find a somewhat better solution. I can recommend staying here.

I had a good stay and would come back. It's a great hostel in Da Nang, though the shower pressure isn't very good and there's no restaurant.
