Happy Day Hotel Da Nang

I hate leaving a negative review, but I hope this helps someone avoid the same experience. The walls are so thin I could hear people talking at a normal volume across the hall and from a room away. There wasn't even a window in my room, and the sink didn't work. The bed was rock hard, though I know that's personal preference. For all six nights, they seemed to be remodeling with power tools from 6am every morning. I was exhausted every day :)

I was glad I'd booked for less than 12 hours, just long enough to catch an early flight out of Da Nang. My lower-floor room was rather dingy and picked up all the traffic noise from the riverside boulevard. The room itself was decent, but the washroom had mold and the towels smelled musty.

I keep coming back whenever I'm in Da Nang. The location works so well, with food and everything else I need just steps away. My room's clean, the bed is comfy, the AC behaves, and the WiFi doesn't let me down. The staff are friendly without making a fuss. Simple and solid.

For a one-night transit stay, it was superb, with a view over the bridge and a nice feel at night. Check-in took about two minutes and was easy. I was on the fifth floor and had no complaints about the stay. The receptionist's service and smiles were the reason I gave five stars. Hot water was good too. Internet was only 4-10mbps, and honestly the room didn't look like the pictures, but I didn't mind for just one night. If the receptionist weren't here, I doubt the hotel would get customers. Choose it if service matters more to you than how the room looks.
