Heron House

We spent five nights at Heron House in March 2026, and it was an easy, enjoyable stay. The pool caught the sun all day, and the verandah had lovely sunset views. We also made good use of the villa’s bikes for nearby beaches, the rice fields right outside, and trips into the old town. Hoa and Loic were excellent hosts. They arranged boat trips, a poolside manicure, and special breakfast requests without fuss. The house staff were attentive without hovering. All the bedrooms were enormous, well equipped, and cleaned to a high standard every day. We’d happily come back and recommend Heron House to our friends.

The pool, with rice fields all around it, made the comfortable house feel close to paradise. We loved its distinctive Indochine style. Thanks again to the Heron Maison team for looking after us so well. À bientôt.

The hospitality from the Heron House team was even better than I expected, and the villa felt like home in every corner. I stayed in the beautiful Yellow suite, looking out over the picture postcard paddy fields. The pool was a lovely cool break from the heat, and relaxing in its warm water in the evenings was a treat. I’m already missing the peaceful mornings and magic hour colours. It was such an enjoyable, refreshing getaway, and I’ll definitely come back.

The staff made everything easy, from local restaurant, pastry shop, and sightseeing recommendations to helping us rent a few motorbikes and test the road. We visited the markets and beach, and spent one of our five days at the My Son ruins. Breakfast each morning was great and gave us time to enjoy the food, house, and each other. My family rented all the rooms at Heron House, and everyone loved their room, the views, and the amenities. It’s a very relaxing place with a private pool. Coming from a high-stress life in the States, this was one of the three most relaxing holidays I’ve ever had. I had no expectations and was completely surprised by how much I enjoyed both Heron House and Hoi An.
