Be prepared for a lot of stairs. The location was good, with a TV that had some good channels like HBO, hot water, and toiletries including shampoo, shower gel, a toothbrush, and a comb. The first room's carpet hadn't been vacuumed. We moved to a room without carpet, but had to ask for the bed to be made because it didn't look clean, and there was hair and stains inside the bed. The fan and TV were dusty, and after we came back from the city the room had a strange smell, kind of like mice.

The staff were the best part, really great. They were friendly and accommodated all our requests during our three nights at Buncha House Hue. Our room was spacious and had a balcony overlooking the city, an ensuite bath, and a truly affordable rate. We were within walking distance of the Citadel and Dong Ba market, with lots of cheap food around. Public transport stops just outside the hotel, and the walking street with pubs and bars is about 3 - 5 minutes away. We booked a full day tour of the citadel and royal tombs for only $13/person, including lunch and a boat tour. The bus transfer to Hoi An was 150,000 dong.

The woman at the desk was the best part. She helped me get a motorbike to explore the city, shared information about nice places to visit, and arranged the bus to my next destination at a very good price. The owner was lovely too. The dorm was very spacious, and the beds had curtains for privacy. They were a bit hard, but comfortable. The bathroom was clean, big, and had hot water, though it was the only one for 10people. That wasn't a problem during my stay. Breakfast was included and quite good for the price. If I'm back in hue, I'd stay at this pace again.

The staff were very friendly and looked after guests well. The double room was clean enough, though its carpet could be changed. The multiperson room was quite okay too. Prices were fair, but breakfast portions weren't very big.

The dorm gives you a nice bit of privacy, though the beds are on the hard side. Breakfast was pretty good, and we could have free coffee and tea throughout the day. The staff were amazing, very friendly, and helpful with everything. No complaints!
