I’d strongly recommend against booking this hotel online. I paid for two nights, Dec 13 and 14, but when I arrived at 10:30 pm on Dec 13, the door was shut and nobody was at the front desk. I called the number they’d provided, and the owner said the hotel was full. They hadn’t contacted me beforehand to confirm my arrival, so I was really disappointed after already paying. He sent me to Nam Tanh and said he’d cover my stay there. The next morning, when I checked out, he said he would pay for only one night. I couldn’t move to his hotel the following day because I had an important meeting all day. After the meeting I went back to make sure I’d get compensation, and the receptionist said yes, so I didn’t exchange money. Then I didn’t have enough cash to pay at Nam Thah. There was no money exchange there, so I had to go to the old quarter to change money, and I missed my flight. I’ll never go back.

I chose this place because it’s close to My Dinh Bus Station. Getting inside means entering through the basement, since the upper floors are offices. My room was much smaller than the photos suggested, and it was beside the condenser area, which was very loud. Check the actual photos and room location ahead of time. The bathroom was old but fairly clean, and the bed was just okay. The floor had gaps. Other things, including the blow dryer, fridge, TV, and cabin, were old enough to seem purely decorative.

The listing used old photos, and the place itself was nothing like I expected. I paid in advance for eight days in a luxury studio apartment, but it looked more like a half-star motel. I ended up having to stay for the whole period.
