Kim’s kindness and good humour made our stay especially memorable. She also made clothes for us, and they were better than what we’d had made by a tailor in the old town. Breakfast by the pool made us feel very spoiled. We had a large downstairs room with outdoor seating and loungers beside the biggest pool. There are five rooms, four with their own pool, and Kim made us feel at home from the moment we arrived. The property is quiet and just one street back from the beach, a very special place we hope to return to. A note about the name: it isn’t a bungalow, it isn’t on the beach, and there’s no sea view. The business moved to its current location after a typhoon destroyed the original property.

It’s easy to get to Hoi An from here, about ten minutes by scooter, and the owner was a huge help with information and transport. Scooters can be rented through the hotel at a fair price. The quiet beach is right outside the rooms, with a bar and restaurant next door that also provide free breakfast. The bungalows are beautiful, with a green private garden and ocean view. The rooms feel luxurious, and the setting is secluded. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for a quiet beach getaway.

The staff were helpful and the accommodation was great. Being right on the beach was nice, though the stretch just in front of the rooms isn’t very good. You need to walk 15-20 minutes in either direction for a better spot. We felt a bit isolated there, so if you prefer, you could stay in town and drive down to the beach.

The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful, and you can reach central Hoi An by bicycle in about 20 minutes or by taxi for around VND 100.000. The rooms are reasonably clean, with decent space and a good shower, but don’t expect much luxury. Privacy is an issue unless you close all the curtains. Towels and bed linen are in short supply, with just one towel per person per day, though you can ask for more. If you book one of the two rooms with a sea view, the view is magnificent and romantic.
