Huy Ngoc Hotel

There’s good light in the room and a handy desk for a laptop. The bed was firm and perfect, and the hotel is in a quiet street close to everything. I’d warmly recommend it.

The location was convenient, but that was the only good part. The room smelled awful and had mold across the walls and bathroom. Our sheets were dirty; the attentive staff changed them, but the replacements weren't clean either. The bed was hard as a plank, and torn curtains let in all the morning light. We could hear everything outside through the thin walls. A really unpleasant stay.

For a budget stay, the location is hard to beat, with everything needed close by, and the staff were friendly. The air conditioning and Wi-Fi worked well, and they cleaned the room every day. I had one of the smaller windowless rooms, though, and it had an unpleasant smell. The bed was too firm for me.

The location worked for me, and it's an easy walk to the beach. There are coffee cups and the private Lucia Fitness gym nearby, with A/C and affordable PT. Just check the room carefully: sometimes the cleaning chemicals smell too strong. I asked to switch rooms, and they handled that very politely.
