Kingdom Hotel

I wouldn’t recommend Hotel Kingdom after this stay. There was no written policy or advance notice when they asked us to pay extra to have the bed sheets laundered, something I thought would be part of regular room cleaning. When we asked why, the staff didn’t explain clearly or helpfully, which caused stress and left us uncomfortable. The lack of clear charges and poor service put me off returning.

The restaurant next door played loud music from 9am until 3am, and the broken bathroom window couldn’t be shut, so greasy food smells kept coming in. The shower was usable, but the water was either scalding or cold, with hardly any in between. There was no daily housekeeping, and the elevator seemed to work only every other day. On my last day I asked for fresh towels before showering, then argued with the receptionist, who said she couldn't provide them because I was close to checkout, even though towels were available. In the edit I added that she was arguing while insisting she hadn't argued. No one had cleaned the room, which was why I wrote the review, and the receptionist's customer service reflected badly on the hotel. I wish the week had gone better. There are much better options.

For the price and location, I don’t think you can get better rooms. They’re very good, even if not perfect. I’d stay here again when I’m in town. 👍

The price was reasonable, the room was clean, and the staff were friendly. We arrived late, but they still did as much as they could to help us, and I’m grateful for that. The location was good, near the beach.
