L&H Apartment Da Nang

I was unsure about coming because the reviews were very positive but seemed recent. Once I arrived, I was pleasantly surprised. This was one of the best places I stayed during my trip in Vietnam. It’s basically a mini apartment, clean and fairly new, with a well-equipped kitchen for one person. Having a washing machine was really convenient, and the owner kindly offered to help with a dryer if I needed one. Great service. There’s an elevator, and I’d ask for a higher floor because the views are really nice from up there. The place is comfortable and has a lot going for it. I’d definitely stay here again if I return to Da Nang. One suggestion, please add card payment 🙏

📍 Room: Superior Apartment, Exterior View, 32 m², 1 queen-size bed 🔔 Final Score: 63/100, well located and equipped, but uncomfortable, with no hot water, poor light blocking and little privacy 📍 The neighborhood is lively and handy, with cafes, restaurants, shops and services close by. The apartment is spacious and well equipped with a full kitchen, fridge, microwave, large TV, air conditioning, fan, washing machine and rice cooker. Wi-Fi was generally decent for streaming or working, with occasional slowdowns. The machine and rice cooker are useful extras for a longer stay. 🛏️ Comfort was a weak point. The bed was hard, the pillows uncomfortable, and there was no duvet, just a very thin sheet. Once the sun came up, the curtains let in all the light. The bathroom was clean, but there was no hot water, which would get unpleasant over time. A few ants were around, and there was sometimes an unpleasant smell, especially in the lobby and occasionally in the apartment. It looked tidy and clean at first glance, though. 🧰 Some basics were missing, including an iron and umbrella. The front door had openings at the top, so people in the hallway could see inside. The decor was bland and the furniture simple. The smell, lack of privacy and lack of direct access also took away from the atmosphere. There were no welcoming gestures or little touches of service. 🛎️ Check-in was a little delayed and not smooth, and reception didn’t feel very professional. There was nothing notable at checkout. The price seemed reasonable at first, but felt too high given the limited amenities, lack of hot water and privacy issues. ✅ Verdict: A well located, well equipped apartment, but too many things made it uncomfortable: the hard bed, no duvet or hot water, curtains that don’t block the light, and being visible from the hallway. The bedding, shower hot water, curtains, front door privacy and reception service all need improvement.

I’m not saying it’s a bad place, but it’s nothing special, and 4.9 stars seems undeserved. It’s a tiny building down a tiny, dark alley, and it isn’t close to the beach, despite what some reviews say. You can go see the location and room yourself. A lot of the reviews seem fake to me. One clue is when someone has fewer than 10 reviews and writes flowery copy like a travel magazine reviewing a five-star hotel. The 4.9 rating is another reason I suspect the reviews aren’t genuine.

I spent a month here and had a perfect stay. The apartment was clean and comfortable, the owners were really nice, and lots of cafes and restaurants are close by. I highly recommend it, and I’ll definitely return next time I’m in Da Nang 🌸
