Lavila Hoi An Homestay

I regretted booking here almost as soon as I arrived. If I'd known what it was like, I wouldn't have booked, which is why I'm leaving this review. There are three construction sites nearby. Every morning from 7am, awful noise came from the left, right, and front of the building and woke me up. There's no elevator, the stairs are very slippery, and the lights kept being switched off. Since shoes aren't allowed inside, carrying my shoes and luggage up the dark, slick stairs was stressful. The room was clean and had a big window, but I couldn't open the curtain because the building faces another one. There was no fridge, the bathroom floor was slippery, and a large hole in the bathroom meant all kinds of big bugs were there every morning. The blanket cover zipper was broken, and the key holder was very dirty. They gave me a large key, not a card, so I had to carry it in a bag. One morning, a stranger kept knocking on my door early. When I opened it, they just looked at me and disappeared. Luckily it was my last day, but I wondered what if I had stayed longer? The building has no door or security, the staff were always lying down in the room, and there was no phone or peephole in my room. Anyone could try to get in and steal my things. I was really sad to spend valuable vacation time under that stress. I hope this helps other travelers.
