I’d strongly advise against staying here. I lived in this apartment for a long time, and the mold and water problems became serious. One room was impossible to use because the walls stayed wet and were heavily covered in mold. When it rained, water flooded into the room. Ants were everywhere, including the kitchen, bathroom, and bedrooms, and we couldn’t get rid of them. The owners ignored complaints about the mold, leaks, and sanitation, and treated tenants carelessly and disrespectfully. This could be harmful to your health, especially if you’re living here long term.

The deposit situation made leaving especially stressful. We gave them $600 in cash and told staff our checkout date and exact time, 10:30 AM, ahead of time. They arrived 40 minutes late, which made us late for our flight, and returned the deposit in VND instead of the USD we had paid. We expected our money back in the same currency. During the month, hot water was almost never available despite being promised at certain hours. We only got it a few times a week. The curtains and sheets were dirty, and we found a pillow with bedbugs. Ants were all over the apartment, and the internet kept failing, making it hard to work and live there. The poor hygiene, missing hot water, internet problems, ants, and mishandling of the deposit caused constant stress and inconvenience. One of our worst stays.

For about $700 a month, we got a rundown room with shabby walls, torn bedding, a broken shower door, an ancient TV that kept glitching, and painfully slow Wi-Fi. When it rained, water came through the walls and windows, flooding rooms and soaking our walls. There was no hot shower unless the sun had warmed the water tank, so on rainy days, forget it. Ants were everywhere, and noisy Vietnamese families yelled in the hallway. There was no reception staff or real management. If anything went wrong, you had to text the “boss,” a rude, unprofessional, unresponsive guy who didn’t know how to talk to customers. He called us a “difficult family” when I asked for a broken tap to be fixed and stinky curtains to be removed. It was highly overpriced. Worst month of our whole life in Asia, and I hope it stays that way.

The place is old and ugly, with low quality throughout, and it’s expensive for what you get. The manager was rude and unresponsive, and management had a bad attitude. The deposit was huge, and some neighbors had trouble getting theirs back. The “boss” even tried to add ridiculous charges, like cleaning rainwater from a flooded room. Good management should offer a discount for that kind of problem, not charge extra.
