Monalisa Luxury Hotel

The location is good, the interior is decent, and the staff were okay. Room cleaning could be better, and breakfast wasn't as tasty as at a hotel I stayed at in Hanoi. We also had an awkward experience exchanging dollars at reception. A friendly young man changed money for us at 25.6, which seemed normal. The next day another staff member, a blonde-haired woman, offered 25.8. That evening a dark-haired woman offered 25.6 again, which we declined. I'd avoid exchanging money there. You can also save money by arranging your own taxi, buying tickets such as those for Ba Na Hills, and getting laundry done elsewhere.

I was in so much pain when we arrived that I could barely move without dizziness and nausea. A bad sleeping position the night before had left my neck extremely stiff, and even small movements caused sharp pain. I had to hold my breath and press on my neck to cope. We got there around 11:00 AM, well before the official check-in time, and while waiting in the lobby I nearly fainted and had to sit on the floor. When we asked if an early check-in might be possible, the staff saw how pale and unwell I looked and prepared a room for us right away. They let us check in early, and their kindness really touched me. Everyone was caring and helpful, even carrying our luggage from the car up to the room. If I could give them 100 stars, I would. The room was spacious and comfortable, with lovely design and a window facing the beach. Their help meant more than they know. This will be our hotel whenever we visit Da Nang, and I hope the place keeps succeeding and stays busy. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

I've stayed at Monalisa twice now, once last year and again this time, for four weeks each visit. This trip brought some bad luck, as I needed surgeries at the hospital. The staff wished me a quick recovery and noticed I'd missed breakfast a few times. They brought me lovely food, which tasted brilliant and was especially appreciated when I came back from hospital feeling weak. The location puts shops, restaurants, and the beach close by. My room is large, with a huge bed, a bathtub, and partial ocean views. The shower stays hot as long as you need it, has a removable head, and the tub is a decent size. The air conditioning works well and is so quiet I barely notice it. The staff are always polite and lovely. You can borrow a golf umbrella whenever you like, get bottled water each day, and ask for extra hangers without any hassle. There's a large TV with Netflix and free wifi that's fast enough for video calls without dropping. Breakfast is always great, with eggs made to order and fresh fruit daily. I especially love the dragon fruit. I'll keep coming back. Thanks to the team at Monalisa Hotel, I appreciate you.

The floor looked dusty and not properly cleaned, so I wore shoes in the room throughout my three-day, two-night stay in a twin room just before the holiday period. The staff were friendly enough, and there was generally someone in the lobby. The location alone makes this hotel worthwhile. A 24-hour Korean supermarket right across the street came in handy when the weather was bad. Just a short walk away, a vendor sold delicious fresh mangoes and other fruit for 60,000 VND per kilo. I also went often to CCCP Cafe, which is to the right when facing away from the hotel. The shower pressure was adequate, and hot water was excellent. The air conditioning worked very well. Extra bottled water on the shelf cost about 600 KRW, in addition to the complimentary water. I didn't use the rooftop pool, but it looked nice.
