Moskva Motel & Apartment Danang

The room was dirty, with cheap, nasty fixtures and fittings. The hotel reception and receptionist were fine, but the place is right in the middle of a building site, with no restaurants nearby. It really feels like a dump.

I stayed three nights. The place seems fairly new, the towels and sheets smelled good, and the bed was firm. There's a YouTube TV, an extra fan, a large basin, and brown curtains to keep out heat and sunlight. But someone in the next room smoked, and the smoke got into my eyes in my room. They need strict rules, warning signs, and a damage deposit to stop this. If they don't deal with it, the room will go downhill fast. Smoke tar can ruin the furniture, and the sheets and curtains will keep smelling like garbage and cost more to maintain.

They seem to rent out unused, substandard apartments through sites like Agoda, with broken TVs and noisy air conditioners. The receptionist needs training in hospitality, though that might be a waste of time and money.

I paid the full price when I booked, but at check-in the hotel asked for the same amount again in cash because they said they didn't trust booking services. They promised to refund it to my card. When I checked out, the money still hadn't been returned. 😑
