The host was friendly, and the room was comfortable. It’s near the old town, about a five-minute walk. Laundry costs more here, double the price of a place 50 meters away.

The host was welcoming, and it’s a nice place.

The room was clean and the air conditioning worked well, but sound carried through the walls. The water tank made a lot of noise when I used it, and after a long stretch of banging I had to ask them to open the door, even though I was out at night. I ordered breakfast, which turned out to be instant noodles, and they also gave me a cup of tea. The pickup driver was friendly, but the owner and an English-speaking woman tried to charge me a high price for a pickup tour. Rooms are only on the second floor, so I had to haul my luggage up, and the slippers they wanted me to wear seemed like they could give me athlete’s foot. The bigger problem was the payment. They said their card machine was broken and they couldn’t authorize payment through Booking.com, then demanded money. They kept answering emails, but the morning after my stay they suddenly cancelled the reservation. They pushed me to cancel; when I refused, they told me to choose “I didn’t stay” and asked me to pay first. The site where I paid marked me as a no-show, lol, so I don’t think I’ll get a refund. A nice room doesn’t make up for scamming people. Don’t be tempted by the low price. Absolutely not.
