The grounds and walkways were in rough shape, with scuffed walls, some garbage lying around, and bugs. The pools were uncovered and not kept cool, so the water was warm. We waited three hours for a room after arriving for our prebooked stay and eventually walked out. There was nobody at the bar to take a drink order. At the restaurant, we found a dead bug on the stairwell and waited 10 minutes for service even though we were the only guests there. When we finally got a room, it smelled musty, the sofa beside the bed was worn and stained, and there were cobwebs in a couple of corners. They offered an upgrade, but the other rooms were much the same. If I owned this place, I'd be embarrassed. Do not stay here!!!!

The dining staff were very, very friendly, and the breakfast buffet was adequate. The spaghetti bolognaise at lunch was tasty, though the dining room was extremely dated. In January there were hardly any guests, and the whole large resort looked deserted and run down. The booking site photos are very misleading, and the property feels old and neglected. The pool needs serious repairs, with only two chairs and very old vinyl cushions. My room was big, with a king bed, but there were no screens on the balcony door, so bugs could fly in. The bathroom was large and had shampoo and body wash, but no conditioner. The safe wasn't bolted down and could be carried away. You'll need a Grab ride to town or anywhere else since nothing is nearby. The beach waves were far too rough for swimming, and there were no beach chairs. Friendly staff, but the property needs attention.

The sunrise view from the room is amazing, and the beach is private and uncrowded. You can enjoy the waves and swim in the gorgeous pool with a choice of drinks. The complimentary breakfast has few vegan options, though. Bring USD 100 for the security deposit, or you may have to leave your passport at check-in.

The place is right on the beach, with several pools and a quiet, private stretch of sand. It's good for families, and the rooms are spacious and clean. The cookstove and washing machine are only available if you stay longer than a month, but the microwave and fridge can be used. It's off the main strip, though just a short Grab ride away. Breakfast is good, but nothing spectacular.
