The staff were quite nice and tried their best to help, even though they didn’t speak English. The receptionist, the Mister, was especially kind. His 12-year-old daughter also tried hard to help us. I can only give five stars to the staff. We arrived in the morning and explained our situation to the Mister, since it was my girlfriend’s birthday week and her first time at the beach. When we came back at 2:00 p.m. to check in, they said there was no room available, even though our name was on the booking. I spent more than two hours trying to reach the owner. She didn’t respond to me or to the employees. Later, they told me she wanted us to pay 150,000 vnd for a different room. It was a terrible experience. I’ve seen this happen in Ho Chi Minh before, where a hotel canceled a booking to charge the guest more. This felt like the same thing. The owner was completely irresponsible and unprofessional. The rooms are nice in general, and I wouldn’t call them bad or dirty, but there was dust on a lot of things, even the hangers. We also had to ask for new towels because ours were torn.

The room was comfortable, private, and quiet, and I’m glad I got to meet the family. They were kind and genuine. A little politeness goes a long way. We did have to switch on a breaker to get the electricity working in the room, but that was no problem. There are stairs, so keep that in mind if you have heavy luggage without good handles. A Grab ride to My Khe beach and the bars will cost around $4.00 usd, compared with about $1 for nearby places in town, so that’s something to consider if you plan to go there.

Please avoid this place. They canceled our reservation just as we arrived at the motel, even though they’d messaged us the day before saying they were waiting for us. A woman who didn’t speak English used Google Translator to tell us there was no room, then sent us away without any help. Also, the beach isn’t for swimming, it’s just for boats.

The staff were kind, though they didn’t speak English. The hotel is very close to Son Tra mountain, where you can see beautiful Red-shanked Duocs and other animals.

I booked a room more than half a month ago, and the booking was confirmed. Now they’ve called to say there was an app error and the room price went up during fireworks season. I don’t know where I’m supposed to book a room now.
