The landlord was really nice and friendly, and the room was clean and cozy with a jungle view. A peaceful, quiet place near the monkey mountain.

I had an Agoda booking confirmed for April 30, 2025, and arrived before check-in time. I showed the booking to the woman at reception, but was told there were no rooms. Using Google Translate, she told me the hotel wasn’t affiliated with Google. I have photos and video. I’d booked ahead because I knew rooms could be hard to find during the Vietnamese holiday week, and spent considerable time and money getting there. What they did is fraud, in the legal sense. Scammers and liars.

Booking through Booking.com is confusing here. You can reserve a room, and someone may even contact you through the site, but OYO 1191 Happy Motel says it doesn’t accept Booking.com reservations. They apparently aren’t OYO 1191 Happy Motel.

The room was extremely dirty, with so much mold I could barely breathe in there. The bathroom smelled awful, and the owner did nothing about it. Everything in the room was broken or in really bad shape.

Watch out, scammers! They told me they only take cash and wanted me to pay again, even though I’d already booked and paid online and the booking was nonrefundable.
