Phan Van Hotel Da Nang

The room was comfortable, clean, and well kept, and the staff were kind and helpful whenever I needed anything. For what I paid, it was great value. One of my best hotel experiences around the world.

The view was beautiful and the bed comfortable, but I found the stay disappointing for the price. The room felt neglected, the decor wasn’t to my taste, and the overall atmosphere lacked warmth. The furniture was in decent condition, but cleanliness was poor: the kettle was disgusting and unusable, and the pool looked cloudy and badly maintained. The small gym had very few machines, and the amenities felt impractical, with no extras or helpful service. Check-in was friendly, but nobody gave me the Wi-Fi password or explained that I had to switch on the hot water. I only learned about the hot water switch when I was leaving. The Wi-Fi itself was stable, but I felt like I was intruding when I asked reception for the password, and I got no reply to my email. There was little information or customer service. The bathroom was basic, and the curtains let in daylight from sunrise, making it hard to rest. There was no soundproofing, so I could hear everything next door. It’s away from the tourist area, though there are cafes, convenience stores, and restaurants nearby, and the beach isn’t far. The location could suit someone wanting to be off the beaten track, but it wasn’t lively. They accepted my cancellation of the second night, mainly because I hadn’t paid through the platform. That felt more like avoiding conflict than providing genuine service. Overall, the comfortable mattress and lovely view didn’t make up for the poor upkeep, lack of information, noise, cleanliness, and communication. The place gave me an impression of neglect and little consideration for guests.

We were a group of seven and booked a family room plus a one-bedroom room. Being close to the market and shops made it easy to get local food, experience the customs, and see lots of interesting sights. The rooms were clean, well maintained, and comfortable for all of us, and reception staff were attentive and helpful with anything we needed. There’s no pool, so it’s better suited to people who care more about convenience and exploring the area than swimming. A good choice for a clean, comfortable stay in a handy location, and we’d recommend it.

The view from the pool area was lovely, and the apartments were clean with a pleasant atmosphere. The staff were warm and friendly, especially administrator Hanna, who was so helpful and responsive. Thanks for everything 🙏 I’d highly recommend it if you want to stay in a Vietnamese atmosphere!
