At checkout they made me wait while they inspected the room, then insisted I pay for the small bottle of water I’d drunk. I’ve stayed at lots of hotels around Vietnam, and this is the only one that’s ever charged me for a little room water. I’d thought it was a good hotel until then. Very poor business practice.

The location was a plus. From our room we could see the sun come up, and at night we could watch the colorful dragon bridge. I chose a river-view room, but it also faced the main road, so it got a little noisy at night. Keep that in mind if noise bothers you or you’re staying during special occasions. The facilities are basic, the doors creak, and the pool seemed decorative, at least from what I saw.

The lobby staff told us to cancel our Agoda reservation and either pay 100 000 dong more or leave. They’d treated a few people before us the same way. I don’t recommend this place if you don’t want to feel scammed or robbed.

After some rude exchanges with the front desk, we returned to find our room door wide open. Staff said it must have “just happened on its own.” At checkout, reception also tried to overcharge us for water, and we had to argue about it. Stay away from this place!

The room and bathroom were so dirty that we had to move to another hotel. I know it’s cheap, but it shouldn’t be that filthy. Better to pay a bit more and stay somewhere else.
