Riverside White House Boutique Hotel

The free bicycles were a real bonus. We rode around Hoi An, out to the coconut village for a basket boat tour we booked there for less, and to the beach for an early seafood dinner. The hotel sits just outside the old city, with shops and stalls all around, and we could watch boats pass from our balcony, their lanterns glowing at night. Our room was clean, comfortable, and everything worked. The toilet and bathroom were separate spaces divided by thick opaque glass. Breakfast was simple but fresh, with a calm river view, and the staff could cook scrambled eggs or fried rice. The entrance looked modest, though the stay itself was great. One catch: there’s no lift. At Da Nang airport, we booked a ride to Hoi An for 632.000 VND. The driver stopped first at a marble sculpture factory, where I learned there were more colors than black, white, and grey, then gave us an hour to look around Marble Mountain. We’d recommend the place.

The pool was my favorite, absolutely loved it. Our spacious room was immaculate, and the hotel is right by the river, an easy walk from Hoi An's old quarter. Breakfast came with the price and had plenty of options for Western tastes. The staff were attentive and lovely, and it was outstanding value.

Water at reception was the person who really stood out. She offered useful suggestions, helped us with travel advice and arrangements from the start of our stay to the end, and was always happy to guide us. She’s the best, and the rest of the staff were friendly and easy to approach. We loved being able to use the bicycles for free, especially along the calm river street. Our balcony room had a fantastic river view morning and evening, with a few lanterns drifting by. The room was spacious, and breakfast felt home-cooked, with eggs and pancakes. We’d then head toward the old town market for Banh Mi and more. The whole place had the warmth of a homestay, with hotel comforts.

Thuy (water) and Loi were wonderful, always willing to help with anything. The hotel itself was spotless, with lovely rooms and a pool that felt like an oasis. Breakfast was a treat, with a nice range of freshly prepared choices. It’s peaceful here, away from the bustle, but still an easy walk along the river. Such a hidden gem. We were sorry to leave and can’t wait to return.
