S Phuot Da Nang Hostel

I paid around 5€ a night, so it’s okay if you keep expectations low. I extended by one night because I liked the area and couldn’t be bothered to move, but it cost 10€ then, which wasn’t worth it. I’d only stay a couple of nights. This was one of the worse hostels I’ve stayed in. The location is nice, with food places and supermarkets nearby. Lockers are big, but bring your own lock. They gave me a free 500ml water bottle at check-in. Showers worked with hot and cold water, and there was free shampoo and so on. The rooms smelled of sweat, and the bathrooms weren’t very clean, with water everywhere, even on the toilet seats. Nowhere to dry laundry. The pool downstairs looked dirty and stagnant, so I wouldn’t use it. I saw mice several times downstairs and in the second-floor sitting area, though not in the room. At night other guests kept waking me: people coming in, squeaky door, very bright light, and 20 people in a room snoring and coughing. The top bunks were ridiculous, with a terrible, awkward ladder. I jumped halfway down every time and felt like I might fall climbing up, haha.

The bed was comfortable, with curtains, plugs and an individual light. There’s a bar open 24 hours, barbecue sausages all day, and a fresh swimming pool inside, great when it gets too hot. Nice location and nice staff. Recommended.

Probably my most comfortable hostel stay around Da Nang. The owners are awesome, friendly and welcoming, and check-in was easy. Beds are big and comfortable, WiFi is great, and there’s a pool for swimming plus a pool table. It’s a social hostel.

The female dorm was clean and comfortably cool, and there’s a pool and massage chair too. The hostel is about 15 minutes from the beach, with local food shops nearby. I loved everything around it. Best hostel I’ve ever stayed in. Uyen’s hospitality was top notch. Thanks so much for all your help. I ended up extending because of her, haha. She also helped me a lot with my parcels/package. Lol.
