Santorini House and Coffee

The bed was unbelievably hard. Just sitting on it for a few minutes hurt my butt. The shower was awful too. By the second time I turned on the water, it was only a thin stream, barely enough to rinse out the shampoo. They provided very little shampoo and shower gel, plus two medium, rather small towels and two smaller ones. By day two, one of the medium towels was gone and never came back, so I had to dry my hair with a small one. The building was noisy at night and seemed pretty old. The cafe downstairs had a Vietnamese-only menu, and the woman working there couldn't speak English. It was quite expensive too. She wanted to charge me 25k for ginger tea, the same price as coffee. I checked other places in the area and their tea was much cheaper, so the price didn't make sense. I stayed because the hotel was near Ba Na Hills, the main reason I went to Da Nang, but it wasn't worth it. There's almost nothing around, and I couldn't even find a bottle of water nearby. The location was terrible. Worst of all, the towels and bedsheets were stained. I'm not saying they weren't cleaned, but if a stain doesn't come out, they should change the item or something. It just looks terrible. I don't know if you can see it, but the glass had a stain too, and they didn't change it. They gave us water in a crystal bottle, and it tasted awful. I wonder if it was tap water. This hotel seems to be for Vietnamese people.

Beautiful place, with nice staff.

This is a basic, budget-friendly room, more like a simple homestay or guesthouse. It has a private bathroom with a mirror, walls, and a sink area, but no cooking utensils. The room felt private, and parking is available for cars and motorbikes. Hot water worked with strong pressure, the air conditioning stayed cool, and the mattress was comfortable without giving me back pain. Cleanliness was a problem, though. The place didn't feel clean or reassuring to use, and this needs improvement. It's convenient for reaching central Da Nang, with basic amenities nearby, but could be awkward if you're coming by bus or plane without your own transport. If you're used to reception staff being on duty, luggage help, and other little services, this may suit you. Best for a short, low-cost stay if you don't have high expectations.

The first-floor room wasn't worth staying in. They said it normally costs 450,000 VND, but today they were selling it at a loss for 350,000 VND. I was shocked when I went in :)) There was hardly any furniture, and the clothes rack looked like something you'd use at home to dry laundry. The walls were old and stained, the towels were dirty, and dust on the blankets and pillows made them itchy. The bed was hard. Some rooms didn't even have bottled water. I'd booked another place before this for 380,000 VND, and it was a world apart. I only stayed here because I changed my schedule for the next day, the original place was fully booked, and I was exhausted from the long drive.
