The rooftop restaurant has city views and a mostly Vietnamese menu with lots of options. The spa next door was clean, with polite staff, a range of treatments, and average prices. The location is good, right across from a park. Reception can arrange day trips, taxis, onward travel, or another place to stay. They were happy to photocopy my passport and didn't insist on keeping it. The staff were welcoming and friendly, and they spoke basic English. The hotel is well appointed, with a lovely lobby decorated with art and paintings. Room quality varies. Ours was large and clean, with basic toiletries, decent bed linen, and a firm mattress. It had a fridge, air conditioning, a safe, and cable TV. Other rooms range from small, windowless options to executive rooms with balconies. Breakfast was included. There was one Western choice, a baguette with cheese and jam, plus traditional Vietnamese dishes.

The French feel is really cute, and the staff were lovely. The rooms were very nice, and the massage was pretty good too, especially after cycling 95km to get there. Breakfast wasn't great, though, with only an à la carte menu. I'd rate it at least four stars, not three.
