The bed and pillows were good, and I liked having a ceiling fan to help manage the temperature. They also let us use a bicycle for free, though it wasn’t well maintained. Breakfast was okay, but the main dishes were basic. The bacon was especially poor, mostly fat and hard to eat. I had a spacious, good-looking room on the top floor, room 405, but there were plenty of problems. Two flies were there when we arrived, the slippers had already been used, and the bath soap was dirty, though they sorted that out the next day. Staff kept pushing extra services, which got annoying. A price list would have been enough. The bathroom rolling window was broken and moldy. There was nowhere to put the soap or shampoo except the floor, where they could fall and break. The toilet paper was cheap and came apart when wet. There was no tissue or trash bin in the bedroom, and the WiFi was weak and slow on the top floor, dropping out after one or two bars. The worst part was the broken smart TV. It suddenly connected to someone else’s phone, and when I watched YouTube the volume kept jumping to 100%. It was crazy. This place felt overrated, and I felt unlucky staying here.

The reception team were so friendly, and breakfast was delicious, with fresh fruit and cooked dishes made to order. We also made good use of the free bikes, which made exploring Hoi An easier and more fun than relying on Grab. Nam An Villa looked just like its online photos, unlike a few other places we’d stayed on this Vietnam trip. Our room was clean and roomy, with a nice balcony. We didn’t use the pool, though it looked clean. We loved staying here and would absolutely recommend it.

We stayed two nights, and the room was lovely with great facilities. It was a great spot away from the busy centre. The woman at reception gave us helpful recommendations each day, tailored to what we wanted to do. I’d definitely come back.

Nam An Villa Hotel had a peaceful, beautiful feel, and the staff were attentive and friendly. They replaced our towels every day, and the bed was incredibly comfortable. My partner and I really enjoyed our stay and would love to return. Highly recommended.

The balcony room is worth choosing for the extra space to relax, and we had a nice view from ours. The room was spacious and clean. Breakfast had around 20 different things to choose from and was amazing. Thanks to Julia and Lili for the great hospitality!
