The NAVIS

We left after just 2 of the 11 nights we’d booked because the property didn’t match its listing, and we had to find somewhere else to stay. The photos show a bright, new-looking apartment, and the description says every room, including the bathroom, gets natural light and fresh air. In reality, concrete completely blocked the bathroom window. The main room and balcony faced a neighboring building wall less than a meter away, leaving almost no natural light. The place was poorly cleaned too. There were cigarette butts and a dirty floor on the balcony. The washing machine was dirty and in poor condition, and the room’s refrigerator was visibly dented and looked very unkempt. The towels had holes, and the kitchen towel was stained and dirty. The hosts apologized and offered another room, but it was essentially the same, just a little cleaner with a less damaged fridge. We felt misled and decided to leave. The property doesn’t match the listing.

I booked 17 nights but stayed only two. Joanna was lovely to communicate with, and she handled ending my stay early very well. I have no complaints about her, though my experience of the hotel didn’t match the other reviews. The room was spacious and well located, but it wasn’t satisfactory. The towels were dirty and threadbare, the shower smelled like a toilet, the water drained poorly, and the hot water ran out quickly. The pedal bin under the kitchen sink had a broken foot pedal, so it had to be opened by hand. That would have been fine if it weren’t so dirty. I wouldn’t have been comfortable staying in Da Nang at Navis for the rest of my booking.

Joanna was attentive and very helpful throughout our stay. The room was clean and modern enough for everyday needs, and the beach was exceptionally close, about 3-5 minutes away. There were also plenty of good cafes, places to eat, and convenience stores nearby. Thanks for a wonderful stay :)

The apartment was clean, fairly modern, and close to the beach, but the noise was a real issue. Even with the windows shut, it sounded as if they were open, and I couldn’t hear any difference when they were open or closed. Street noise came straight through. We couldn’t use the washing machine during our stay. It smelled bad, and after one wash that smell got onto our clothes. Staff ran the tub-cleaning program once to try to fix it, but the smell remained. In my view, the tub needs to be removed so the machine can be deep cleaned. The WiFi also went down for a few hours almost every day.
