Sea Light Hotel Da Nang

There are plenty of places to eat nearby, so the location worked well. We stayed four nights in a family room, which was nice, and there was secure motorcycle parking in the basement. The balcony was really small, and the hot water went lukewarm after a few minutes. Aside from those minor annoyances, it's a good place to stay.

We left before our confirmed checkout date after being pressured to leave without a valid reason. Staff also accused us of problems and sent photos as evidence, but we didn't recognize the pictures and they didn't seem to show our room or even the hotel. Housekeeping said they had found something behind the door, but nothing in the photo matched. It felt dishonest and suspicious. The room was noisy all the time, with outside sounds and children screaming next door every day. There was no peace or comfort. When we raised it, staff were dismissive and defensive, and told us to contact the neighboring guests ourselves instead of dealing with the disturbance. This was one of our worst hotel stays. The staff were unhelpful and unprofessional, and we strongly don't recommend staying here.

The bed is the most comfortable I've found in Da Nang, which has helped with the back problems I had at my last place. That's the one saving grace. I've gone three days without working internet. They told me a few days ago it would be fixed in the morning, then today said the same thing again for tomorrow. They also say they won't provide toilet paper or water because of my length of stay, even though I signed a one month contract. Please be careful with your belongings. They stole from me and three other people I know, including money and my friend's $500 earrings. When I reported my headphones, a staff member told me to contact the police. I tried to screenshot her translated message, but she grabbed her phone so there'd be no proof she'd written it.

The staff were really friendly, and I liked the place enough to stay four nights and extend twice. My room on the 10th floor was very clean and had a glimpse of the sea. I paid 400k a night, which has been the best value I've had in Vietnam so far. I'd happily stay again.
