Sen Boutique Villa Apartment

We’ve just checked out and are genuinely sad to leave Danang and our little apartment. We extended our stay by a week, and there was no construction or noise during our time there. The location is great, with cafes and restaurants right nearby and the beach within walking distance. There’s no lift, but that was fine for us even on the top floor. The pool is on the ground floor as you enter, a bit unusual, and we only used it once, but it was nice enough. Our studio had a small, working kitchen stocked with plates, bowls, pots, and pans, plus a big comfy bed and a large balcony. The room was cleaned regularly, and they always asked what time suited us. The receptionist was sweet and friendly. The smart TV didn’t work when we arrived due to a Samsung TV issue, but the manager responded quickly and sent a technician to fix it. We loved staying here, thank you!

The owner is honest, and the front desk staff are sweet. The place has the usual run-down Vietnam style and wasn’t cleaned properly, but for $25USD a night, what do you expect? You can pay much more at a big chain for that kind of polished quality. There’s no construction, no strange smells, and the owner responds and fixes complaints. It’s right in the heart of foreigner central, in a prime location. I’d been staying at Glory Hotel around the corner, which I found on AirBnB, and it was a horrifying roach hotel, dodgy too, with fake reviews that the owner hid when they were negative. In Vietnam, photos and reviews on AirBnB, Agoda, and Booking can be fake, while Google is best for real reviews that can’t be hidden. I think you can be happy if you come here.

Our building was almost right by the beach, which was a real plus. I think the hotel has two locations. The room was roomy and had a kitchen with a working microwave, stove, fridge, and appliances. There’s also a lift, handy if you’re carrying lots of luggage.

The neighborhood was a favorite part for me. It’s a laid-back residential area with apartments and homestays around a big green space, where kids play in the evenings. The beach and main tourist streets are still barely three minutes away. Getting checked in was easy: I called the number on the door, and someone arrived within five minutes with a key and took cash. I stayed four days and extended by asking the staff on the morning I was due to leave. The team was friendly, and the room was clean and nicely decorated, with fresh sheets and towels, a quiet AC that didn’t blow straight at the bed, a good bathroom, and a small but useful kitchenette.
