Right across from the beach, with a beautiful sea view. The beds were very comfortable, the air conditioning worked extremely well, and we got bottled water each day. Staff were friendly, and the buffet was okay. The pool was green for some reason, so I didn’t want to get in. Rooms can be a little noisy, but not too bad. There are steps up to reception, but you can go through the parking shed on the right and take the lift with your luggage. There’s no sign explaining that. Avoid the spa on level 5, it’s run down and they demand a tip. The drink shop on the corner block has great drinks. I loved the mango smoothie.

This was one of my best hotel stays in Da Nang. I don’t get why its rating is lower. I booked many hotels over three weeks for my next visit, and so far this one is in my top three. It missed first place because the room is a little outdated. But the gym was the best, the view was lovely, and the breakfast was great. Only three of the four-star hotels I stayed at had genuinely good breakfasts. Best overall hotel experience I had there.

Don’t come here for a massage. While we were walking along the beach, a few men called my partner and me over. It was about 580,000 each for 90 minutes, on the pricey side but what I expected at a professional place. My partner decided to try it, and they took us into the hotel and up to the fifth floor. I got a bad feeling. They made us pay first, which was a big red flag, but I felt it was too late to back out. We waited around 10 minutes in what looked like an abandoned back room, confused because no one asked us to wash our feet as we expected at a massage place. The massage room smelled like old wet cardboard. The man told us to undress, wrap ourselves in towels, and wait for the masseuses. The towel on the table looked used and smelled odd. I should have said something and left, but I didn’t. The tables had no face holes, just more towels arranged to look like them, and those smelled strange too. Then the masseuses started. The one with my partner tapped him and tossed his shorts to him, which confused us since we’d been told to fully undress. By then I was already annoyed. The massage was terrible, as if they hadn’t been properly trained and were just guessing. They talked loudly throughout, so we couldn’t relax. My partner’s masseuse paused to talk on the phone in the room for a full five minutes. If it was urgent, we’d have understood if she’d excused herself, but she didn’t. I don’t know why we stayed, hoping it would improve. I remember praying for it to end. It did, since they cut the session short to 75 minutes, including the phone call. I wish I’d spoken up sooner. We walked back down the road to Nam Spa, got much better treatment, and went back three times during our holiday.

The best part was our sea view. From our room on the 17th floor we could see both the city and the beach, and the pool area on the 18th floor had a fantastic panoramic outlook. Seven Sea Hotel is well placed for My Khe Beach, just across the road, so morning and evening walks were easy. Small marts nearby were handy for water and everyday supplies. The main markets, Son Tra Night Market, Han Market, Con Market, and Le Duan Night Market, are about 3 km away, so you’ll need a Grab or a fairly long walk to reach them. Breakfast was decent rather than special, with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian choices. The sink and shower door needed better maintenance, and the two single beds pushed together had a joint in the middle that made sleeping a bit uncomfortable. Manageable, but noticeable. It was a good stay mainly for the location and view. A little more attention to room upkeep could make it a five-star experience.

The room was okay, though maintenance could be better. The hotel's best feature is its location, convenient for restaurants and the beach, and easy for getting back to the city center. Breakfast looked nicely presented, but you can’t eat decorations. There were only a few basic things for a light breakfast. It’s fine if you don’t expect much in the morning.
