Silk Sense Hoi An River Resort

The caring staff are what we’ll remember most. From the first minute they made us feel welcome and took care of everything. Breakfast was great, with lots of variety, and the complimentary shuttle was convenient for getting to the town centre. It’s a peaceful, tranquil resort near the river, and not too large. There’s a beautiful pool in the middle. The hotel also works with a beach club, so you can spend the day at the beach and use a second, huge pool there. We had a perfect stay.

The staff were lovely, always smiling and welcoming, from the front desk team to the grounds staff. I also value sustainability, so the resort’s many sustainability initiatives mattered to me. The grounds were lush and beautifully kept, and the pool area was large, with plenty of deck chairs and loungers. Breakfast each morning had a good range, especially the fresh fruit. The rooms were lovely too, and I particularly enjoyed the shower with its high-pressure head. We had an amazing seven-night stay and would like to visit again.

Sen, the hotel manager, handled service recovery really well and kept a warm relationship with us throughout our Labour Day holiday stay. The tall concierge with glasses also deserves credit for being efficient and helpful while juggling several hotel roles. The hotel is comfortable and good for its price, and many Koreans seem to choose it. The free shuttles to Hoi An Old Town and the nearby beach resort are useful, but need to be booked ahead. Free bicycles are available too. Breakfast changes a little each day, with Vietnamese, Western, and Korean choices. The furniture in the room was a bit dated, though everything was still clean. We chose a ground-floor room with a tub and private garden, and it was quite peaceful. Having a ceiling fan helped keep the air moving and deter mosquitoes. A bath at the end of the day sounds lovely. We regret not having enough time to try the hotel’s interesting free and paid activities.

The workshops were a lovely, unusual part of our stay, very well organized and genuinely enjoyable. The hostesses were kind, warm, and attentive, and made us feel cared for the whole time. Everything at Silk Sense Hoi An exceeded what we expected. We’d love to come back.
