Smeraldo Hotel & Apartment

We felt at home the whole time, thanks especially to Tan and Kiu, who were so kind and helpful. We stayed in the apartments, which had everything we needed, comfy beds, and warm indoor lighting. The location was handy for coffee shops and the beach, with a market just around the corner. Looking forward to seeing you again!

A nice, quiet part of Da Nang, with the option to book for a short or long stay. The prices are very reasonable. Highly recommend this hotel.

Avoid this place. My room and the hallway were badly neglected and dirty. I'm blonde, but there was a brown-haired person's hair tie in the bathroom, and a toothbrush sitting on top of the shower. The towels looked and smelled unclean, and there was a dirty sock on my balcony floor, right on a plant. Two huge construction sites nearby ran around the clock, so there was no peace. Closing the window didn't help much; then the room got hot and I needed the A/C, which sounded like an old Soviet fridge. The lock on my first room's door didn't work, and the balcony was shared with a neighboring room where there was a man. They did at least help by moving me elsewhere. After both nights, I woke up itchy with a rash. I don't know if it was bed bugs or some odd laundry detergent. There wasn't a swimming pool or a coffee or breakfast option. The room had an extremely dirty kettle and one glass, so how was I supposed to make tea, in a glass glass? They also charge a percentage commission for card payments.

I've been here a week and extended my stay. I'd seen some bad reviews, but you get what you pay for, and it's not that bad. As a Westerner I have certain standards, and this place is satisfactory. Sure, there's room to improve, but the staff have been friendly and helpful, and the price is reasonable. It's close to everything without being too loud. Can't complain.
