Sol An Bang Beach Resort & Spa

The garden was the highlight for us, with tall trees giving lovely shade and a serene, almost magical feel. Sol An Bang Beach Resort was a calm place to return to after exploring the busy streets of Hoi An’s Old Town. Our room was clean, stylish, and cozy too. We felt at home as soon as we arrived. Many thanks to Mai and the whole team for such a warm, genuine welcome. Their friendliness helped us switch straight into vacation mode. Breakfast impressed us every morning, with a great selection of fresh food and a view over the lush garden. If you want authentic hospitality, beautiful nature, and a comfortable atmosphere, Sol An Bang is a great choice. We’ll definitely be back.

The hotel and service get five stars from me. I just wish the beach out front were cleaner and better maintained. That stretch is small, dirty, and not really suitable for swimming. For a swim, walk five minutes down the beach to the beachfront restaurants and bars, where there’s a dedicated swimming zone. It’s busier with tourists, and that’s also where the restaurants and spas are. The hotel itself is in a quieter spot away from the crowds, but you can still walk five minutes to eat, drink, or get a massage. We went in the off-season, so there weren’t many guests and it was generally quiet. The street had a lot of construction going on, though, and the neighborhood floods badly when it rains. The rooms were beautiful and very clean, staff were VERY kind and helpful, and the free breakfast was quite good. There are three large, clean shared pools, plus free bicycles. It takes about 20min to ride to Hoi An ancient town. I’d recommend staying in An Bang and taking day trips to Ancient Town instead of sleeping there. The hotel also offers an airport shuttle, with a small extra fee at night.

We had a lovely sea view from our comfortable room, and the resort’s free bicycles were a great bonus. The A Bang beach bar area was just a 10-minute walk away. Since we visited in the rainy off-season, our plans often depended on the weather, but the staff went out of their way to help us and keep us entertained. We stayed three nights and had a great time. The usual buffet breakfast had been replaced by à la carte options because it was off-season, and those were decent.

The music from this 'resort' has been pounding across An Bang late into the night. It’s unbearably loud and, in my view, clearly violates the new noise pollution laws and local noise rules. This place shows absolutely no respect for local residents.
