Tarasa Hotel

Uyên made check-in much easier for my partner and me while we were injured. The staff were very accommodating, and the room was clean and nice. Five stars all around.

The location worked really well for us. It’s outside the city centre, but only about two minutes by motorcycle from the city and Han River, with restaurants and a convenience store nearby. I’d consider staying again, even though I’d give it three out of five stars. Getting around could be tricky because hardly any staff spoke fluent English. We relied on Google Translate nearly 90% of the time, and even arranging a motorcycle rental was challenging. Breakfast varies from day to day, which is nice, but the food isn’t labelled. It also starts a little late, around 7am. Since many Da Nang attractions open around then, starting breakfast at 6am would give travellers more time to see things. I’ll leave a fuller review on Agoda and TripAdvisor.

The room looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned, and it smelled awful. There were marks on nearly every wall, including bloodstains, while mould covered the bathroom ceiling, bathtub, and even the sink. At reception, the person couldn’t speak English. I’d never stay here again or recommend it to anyone. Stay away.

I stayed two nights. The staff were friendly, though the woman in the kitchen seemed a bit grumpy. The hotel was clean, with a comfortable bed, soft pillow, and a really cool view from the sixth floor. Breakfast was okay, but the eggs were cold, as were the tea and coffee. They also didn’t mention that the water bottles in the fridge cost 10k.
