Thanh Hoang Chau Hotel

My room had air conditioning, fans, hot and cold water, and clean pillows and blankets. For a central location near both the airport and beach, I thought the price was reasonable. The room wasn’t too bad compared with the reviews I’d read, and I was lucky to get a decent one. You can ask to change rooms if yours doesn’t suit you. Some of the staff were new and reception was a bit busy, but the owner was generally okay with guests. Check-in involved a 300k VND deposit and a signature. You can bring a friend in, provided they don’t stay overnight.

We found a large rat running around the bathroom later that night, close to our clothes and personal belongings. There was also construction noise in the second room, starting before 8am. The first room had a broken window that wouldn’t close, so it stayed hot all night and mosquitoes kept coming in. Staff initially refused to move us and told us to accept it. Between the rat, the broken facilities, the noise, and the poor customer service, this hotel completely ruined our stay in Da Nang. Absolutely unacceptable. Do not stay here.

I paid for four days but checked out after just a few minutes. The beds were hard as concrete, and the sheets were stained and clearly hadn’t been cleaned. There’s no security and the door barely locks. The pool table is just decorative and can’t be used. There’s no pool or sauna either. The location was miserable, surrounded by bike shops and phone stores, with no food or place to buy water. It’s not worth the price. I’d pay a few dollars more and avoid the mistake I made. This place should be $5usd a night at most.

Gross 🤢 Mold everywhere, a pee smell in the bathroom, and a leaking sink. Then they ask for a 300k deposit. The worst hotel of my life. Run!
